Musketeers are back in action on March 4 vs Eastern Illinois

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Xavier men's tennis' five-match win streak came to an end on Sunday, with the Musketeers falling 4-0 to Indiana to move to 5-3 on the season.

The Musketeers return to action on Friday, March 4, hosting Eastern Illinois at Eastern Hills at 6:00 p.m.

THE MATCH

In doubles action, the Hoosiers took the first decision, a 6-2 win on the No. 3 court against Charlie Temming and Pascal Mosberger. Xavier drew even with a 6-2 win on the No. 2 court for Diego Nava and Caden Kammerer. IU secured the point with a 6-4 win in No. 1 singles against Cambell Nakayama and Brett Winters.

It moved to a 2-0 Indiana lead with a 6-2, 6-2 Hoosier win on the No. 2 court against Brett Winters. Charlie Temming fell 6-2, 6-3 on the No. 3 court to move it to 3-0 in favor of IU and a 6-4, 6-3 win against Pascal Mosberger on the No. 4 court clinched the match at 4-0.

When the point was decided, Diego Nava was tied in a second set after falling in tiebreaks in the first, 7-6, 3-3. Marco Pennelli led in the No. 5 spot, 7-6, 2-0 when the match was decided. Caden Kammerer also led on court No. 6, 6-2, 5-3, when the match ended.
