Kae Satterfield led Xavier with 18 points and seven rebounds
CINCINNATIÂ - Xavier women's basketball dropped a 96-62 BIG EAST matchup vs St. John's on Sunday afternoon at Cintas Center.
Xavier moved to 7-15 (2-11 BIG EAST), while the Red Storm improved to 8-15 (4-9 BIG EAST).Â

• St. John's opened the game by hitting five of its first eight shots, taking a 14-6 lead at the media timeout (9:46). The Red Storm led by as many as 15 points (26-11) with 1:42 left in the quarter and led by 11 points (26-15) at the end of the frame. Kae Satterfield led the Musketeers with six points in the quarter. Xavier was also 9-for-10 from the free throw line.
• The Red Storm knocked down 56.3 percent (9-for-19) of their shot attempts in the second period, outscoring Xavier, 32-18, and taking a 58-33 advantage into the locker room. The Musketeers were limited to a .200-field goal percentage (3-for-15).
• Kae Satterfield led the Musketeers with 12 points and five rebounds at the break, while Shaila Beeler added seven points. St. John's held an 18-16 advantage on the glass. Both teams scored 11 points off of turnovers.

• St. John's maintained its 20-point lead for the remainder of the game and led by as many as 35 points (83-48) at the 7:38 mark in the fourth quarter. Eleven different players scored in the game as the Red Storm captured the season series vs the Musketeers.
• Shelby Calhoun, Kae Satterfield and Mackayla Scarlett each scored six points in the second half. Ayanna Townsend pulled down five of her seven rebounds in the second half.

• Shelby Calhoun and Shaila Beeler each chipped in 12 points. Calhoun added five rebounds and four steals, while Beeler contributed four rebounds, three assists and two steals.
• Mackayla Scarlett finished with eight points and four rebounds. Ayanna Townsend matched Kae Satterfield for the team-high in rebounds with seven.
• Xavier made a season-high 26 free throws (26-for-32) in the contest. St. John's finished the game 17-for-20 from the charity stripe.
• The Red Storm posted a .516 field-goal percentage (33-for-64), while limiting the Musketeers to a .283 clip (17-for-60).Â
• St. John's won the battle on the glass, 41-36. Xavier scored one more second-chance point (19-18). Both teams scored 17 points off of turnovers.
