CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Rachel Butler broke the school record in the 5,000-meter at the Virginia Challenge on Friday, April 22. The meet was hosted by Virginia at Lannigan Field.
Butler placed third in the event, posting a time of 16:19.82. The previous record was set by Ashley Vincent in 2012 at the Stanford Invitational (16:34.74).
Butler returns to action on April 28-29 at the Penn Relays in Philadelphia, Pa.
