Musketeers Wrap Up BIG EAST Outdoor Track & Field Championships

Xavier collects four new school records during the two-day meet
STORRS, Conn. - Xavier track and field wrapped up day two action at the BIG EAST Outdoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday evening, collecting a combined four new school records through the two-day event.
Xavier's women had five in individual races on the final day of the meet. Haley Morgan, who bested her own school record for the 100 meter dash in the prelims with a time of 11.83, led the Musketeers in the finals of the event. Alaina Sullivan joined Morgan in the finals of the 100, Claire Sievern ran in the 800 meter run, Courtney Klatt took part in the 1,500 meter and Rachel Butler ran in the 5,000 meter run on Saturday. The Musketeer women also competed in the 4x400 and 4x800 relays.
Xavier's women collected 17 points, finishing in ninth, and brought home new school records from Claire Sievern in the 800-meter run and for Parker Hopkins, Sydny Warner, Courtney Klatt and Claire Sievern in the 4x800 relay.
On the men's side for the final day, Sean Beam, who set a school-record time of 48.72 in the 400 meter dash prelims, qualified for the finals of the event. The Musketeers also ran in the men's 4x100, 4x400 and 4x800 relays on the final day.
Xavier's men finished the meet with eight points to stand in eighth place.
