
Three-Goal Second Half Powers Women's Soccer to 4-1 Win Over Lipscomb

Sroka, McLaughlin, Flick and Netzel all score in come-back win
CINCINNATIÂ Â - After falling behind 1-0 in the first half, four unanswered goals, including three second-half tallies, helped Xavier women's soccer pick up a 4-1 win over Lipscomb on Sunday afternoon at Corcoran Field. Xavier moves to 5-2-1 on the season.
After nearly 30 scoreless minutes, the Bison struck first, taking a 1-0 lead after finding the rebound off the crossbar. Xavier responded less than five minutes later, with a goal from in front of the net for Brooke Sroka, from Molly McLaughlin, to send the match in to the half tied 1-1.
Xavier took the lead 10 minutes into the second half on a penalty kick from Molly McLaughlin and never relinquished it. In the final 10 minutes, Xavier added a pair of insurance goals, with Emma Flick scoring from Elise Le and Chloe Netzel adding a goal, from Ella Rogers, to match the season-high for goals at four in the eventual 4-1 win.
The Musketeers remain at home its final non-conference match, hosting Bowling Green on Friday, Sept. 16 at 6:00 p.m. at Corcoran Field.

- Molly McLaughlin collected three points on a goal, her first game-winner of the season, and an assist to bring her season total to six points. She's now 2-2 on PKs for the season and 5-5 for her collegiate career.
- Emma Flick scored a goal for a second-straight match, bringing her a team-high three for her freshman season. She also leads the team with seven points.
- Chloe Netzel's goal was her second of the season to give her five points.
- Brooke Sroka's equalizer was also her second of the season, bringing her season total to four points.
