Emma Flick Named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week

Freshman forward led Xavier with five points on two goals and an assist last week
NEW YORK - After leading the league with five points last week, forward Emma Flick was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Flick, originally from Streetsboro, Ohio, totaled five points on two goals and an assist, scoring in each of Xavier's two matches as the Musketeers moved to 5-2-1 on the season. Against Saint Louis, Flick played a role in both goals that gave the Musketeers the lead at the break, setting up Ella Rogers for the Musketeers' first goal with an assist, and then finishing the goal in the 31st minute to put Xavier up, 2-1.
Against Lipscomb, Flick used a header to finish a cross from Elise Le to add to Xavier's lead, 3-1, in the 80th minute of the eventual 4-1 win. Flick's five points on two goals now gives her team-highs for goals (3) and points (7) for the season.
Xavier wraps up non-conference action on Friday, hosting Bowling Green at Corcoran Field, set for a 6:00 p.m. start.
