The Musketeers return to action on Oct. 2 at Butler

OMAHA, Neb. - Xavier volleyball dropped a three-set match (9-25, 17-25, 16-25) at No. 21 Creighton on Wednesday night. Xavier moved to to 9-4 (2-1 BIG EAST), while Creighton improved to 11-3 (3-0 BIG EAST).

NOTABLES

• Brooklyn Cink led the Musketeers with seven kills. The graduate outside hitter also racked up five digs in the match.

• Delaney Hogan and Cink were the only two members of the squad to record block assists.

• Senior setter Carrigan O'Reilly tallied up 18 assists, four kills and seven digs for the Musketeers. O'Reilly recorded the only block solo from both squads for the night.

• Senior defensive specialist Alyssa Overbeck was the only member of the squad to record a service ace.

• Sophomore libero Lucia Corsaro was the team leader in digs with nine total.

• The squad racked up 24 kills, 23 assists, 30 digs, four bock assists, one block solo and one service ace.
