Women's Soccer Falls to No. 15 Saint Louis

CINCINNATI - Goals from Ella Rogers and Emma Flick helped Xavier to a halftime lead on No. 15 Saint Louis, but a pair of Billiken goals in the second half gave the Musketeers a 3-2 loss at Corcoran Field.
The Musketeers struck early, getting a 1-0 lead in the first 10 minutes on a goal from Ella Rogers, from Emma Flick. Less than five minutes later, Saint Louis evened it up a 1-1 on a goal off a free kick, with the tie holding into the 30th minutes.
In the 30th minute, Regan Dancer found Emma Flick in front of the goal, with Flick using her second goal of the season to put the Musketeers back in front 2-1 going into halftime.
The Billikens evened the score quickly after the break, tying it up at 2-2 in the 51st minute. The draw held until the 75th minute when SLU scored off a free kick to take the lead, setting the final score at 3-2 Saint Louis. Xavier moves to 4-2-1 on the season.
The Musketeers remain at home for the next match, hosting Lipscomb on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Corcoran Field.
