CINCINNATI - Xavier indoor track and field opens its 2023 season at the Louisville Classic on Jan. 13-14. The two-day meet is being held at the Norton Healthcare Sports and Learning Center.

Admission to the event will be free of charge and parking at the facility will be provided for $5. More meet information can be found here.

INDOOR TF NOTABLES

• During the 2022 indoor track and field season, the Musketeers combined to post 24 top-10 performances in the school record book (10 on the men's team, 14 on the women's team). Courtney Klatt highlighted the indoor performances by setting the school record in the one-mile run (4:52.06) at the Al Campbell Invitational on Feb. 18, 2022 in Akron, Ohio.

COACH BURROUGHS

• Sam Burroughs was named the new head coach for cross country/track and field on Jan. 4, 2021. He joined the Musketeers after previously working as associate head coach at Cincinnati from 2013-20.

• Burroughs has over 20 years of collegiate experience. He has coached 96 individual conference champions and 46 individual NCAA qualifiers, while leading 18 teams to conference championship titles.
