Quincy Olivari Earns Another BIG EAST Conference Honor

CINCINNATI --- Xavier University graduate student Quincy Olivari was named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll after his game-high 22-point effort vs. Winthrop on Dec. 16.

Olivari also earned the honor Dec. 11 after averaging 30.5 points and 3.0 rebounds while making 61.1 percent (11-18) from 3-point range and 94.7 percent (18-19) from the free-throw line in games vs. Delaware on Dec. 5 and Cincinnati on Dec. 9. Olivari is one of three Musketeers that have been honored so far this season. Sophomore Desmond Claude has earned a Honor Roll spot (Nov. 13) and freshman Lazar Djokovic has earned Freshman of the Week (Nov. 27).

Olivari, who has averaged 25.0 ppg. over the last four games, leads the team in scoring and is fourth in the BIG EAST Conference at 17.6 ppg. Olivari has scored in double figures in 10 of Xavier's 11 games, including each of the last eight games. He is second in the BIG EAST in 3-point field goal percentage at 44.6 percent (33-74) and is third in the BIG EAST in 3-point field goals at 3.0 per game.

Xavier, 6-5, opens BIG EAST play at St. John's on Wednesday.
