Souley Boum Earns BIG EAST Honors For The Fifth Time This Season

This is Boum's third time on the BIG EAST Honor Roll.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University graduate student Souley Boum has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll for his efforts in games this past week against Villanova and Seton Hall. This marks the fifth time this season that Boum has been selected for a BIG EAST weekly award, including three Honor Roll selections and two Player of the Week selections.
Boum averaged 20.0 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists in games vs. Villanova on Feb. 21 and at Seton Hall on Feb. 24. He shot 52.0 percent (13-25) from the field, including 52.9 percent (9-17) from 3-point range.
No. 19 Xavier, 21-8 overall and 13-5 in the BIG EAST Conference, visits No. 20 Providence, 21-8 overall and 13-5 in the BIG EAST Conference, on Wednesday night.
