Jack Nunge Earns BIG EAST Conference Player Of The Week Award

Nunge has won the award twice during the league season.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University graduate student Jack Nunge has been named BIG EAST Conference Player of the Week for his efforts in wins over No. 17 Providence and St. John's this past week. Nunge, who also won the award on Jan. 2, averaged 22.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 blocks in last week's two wins, shooting 63.0 percent (17-27) for the week, including .778 (7-9) from 3-point range.
 
Nunge had a game-high 23 points and a game-high 12 rebounds vs. Providence on Feb. 1 and a game-high 21 points with a Xavier career-high and collegiate career-high tying six assists vs. St. John's on Feb. 4.
 
Xavier has had an honoree in all 13 weeks of BIG EAST awards this season, including five BIG EAST Player of the Week winners and eight BIG EAST Honor Roll winners. Four different Xavier players have been honored at least once this season.
