Jones was an All-BIG EAST Second Team and All-BIG EAST Tournament selection

CINCINNATI --- Xavier University junior Colby Jones has been selected to the All-District 5 Second Team by the NABC (National Association of Basketball Coaches). Graduate student teammate Souley Boum was named on the First Team.

Jones, who was selected to the ALL-BIG EAST Second Team by the league coaches and by Associated Press, is second on the team in scoring (tied for ninth in the BIG EAST at 15.2 ppg.). He is second on the team in assists at 4.3 apg (ninth in the BIG EAST), while ranking second on the team in rebounding at 5.4 rpg. (19th in the BIG EAST).

Jones earned a spot on the All-BIG EAST Tournament Team after averaging 14.3 ppg. and 7.0 rpg. for Xavier's three games this past weekend in New York.

No. 3 Seed Xavier, 25-9, plays No. 14 Seed Kennesaw State, 26-8, in an NCAA Tournament First Round matchup on Friday at 12:40 p.m.
