GREENSBORO, N.C. --- The No. 3 Seed Xavier University Musketeers, 26-9, take on the No. 11 Seed University of Pittsburgh Panthers, 24-11, in NCAA Tournament Second Round action on Sunday, March 19 at 12:10 p.m. at the Greensboro Coliseum.
Xavier is battling to reach at least the NCAA Sweet 16 for the ninth time in school history, including the seventh time since 2008.

• Xavier is 26-9 overall and finished second at 15-5 in the BIG EAST Conference regular season.
• Xavier is making its 29th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, 28 of which have come since 1983. XU has reached at least the NCAA Sweet 16 eight times, including six times since 2008.
• Xavier head coach Sean Miller, a 1992 Pitt graduate, was the 1987-88 BIG EAST Freshman of the Year and helped lead Pitt to the 1988 BIG EAST regular-season title, as well as three NCAA Tournament berths. Miller has led XU to five NCAA Tournaments in six years as head coach.
• Xavier is one of five BIG EAST teams to make the 2023 NCAA Tournament field. XU had a combined record of 7-3 vs. Creighton (2-1), Marquette (1-2), Providence (2-0) and UConn (2-0).

• Xavier senior Jerome Hunter scored a game-high and career-high 24 points on 8-11 shooting from the field and 8-8 from the free-throw line in the Kennesaw State win. Hunter has averaged 10.5 ppg., 5.9 rpg. and 1.8 apg. since taking over a starting spot the last 13 games.
• Xavier graduate student Souley Boum leads the team in scoring (second in the BIG EAST) at 16.5 ppg. and assists at 4.3 apg. (eighth in the BIG EAST). Boum, First Team All-BIG EAST and an AP Honorable Mention All-American, is fifth among active career Div. I scorers (2,431 points).
• Xavier junior Colby Jones is second on the team in scoring at 15.1 ppg. (10th in the BIG EAST) and is second in assists at 4.3 apg. (10th in the BIG EAST). The All-BIG EAST Second Team and All-BIG EAST Tournament Team selection is also Second Team All-District (NABC).
• Xavier graduate student Jack Nunge, the BIG EAST Men's Basketball Scholar-Athlete of the Year, is third on the team in scoring at 14.0 ppg. (14th in the BIG EAST) and leads the team in rebounding at 7.9 rpg. (fourth in the BIG EAST).
