COLUMBUS, Ohio - A career-long outing from Luke Hoskins, and multi RBI days from Andrew Walker, Tyler DeMartino and Carter Hendrickson helped Xavier to an 8-1 win at Ohio State, moving Xavier to 12-12 on the season.
Xavier took the lead on a two-run homer from Tyler DeMartino in the third, driving in Jack Housinger.
The Musketeers extended the lead with a three-run fourth inning, with a Grant Stephenson single bringing in Carter Hendrickson, and Jared Cushing scoring on an error, then Andrew Walker picking up an RBI after taking a bases-loaded walk
Xavier posted another three-run inning in the eighth with Walker driving in an RBI with a single, and Hendrickson driving in a pair with a single.
Ohio State scored a run in the eighth but would get no closer, setting the final score at 8-1
Xavier remains on the road for another midweek match-up, facing Wright State on Wednesday afternoon, set for a 3:00 p.m. start.
