SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Xavier baseball dropped game two at UC Santa Barbara, falling 4-2 at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium to even the series at one game a piece.
UC Santa Barbara took the 2-0 lead in the second inning, and extended it to 4-0 with runs in the fourth and the sixth. Xavier responded in the seventh, with back-to-back solo home runs from Jared Cushing and Matthew DePrey to lead off the inning, but were unable to get any closer to set the final score at 4-2.
The series finale is set for Sunday, with first pitch at 4:05 PM ET on ESPN+.
