Men's Golf Places Ninth at Mountaineer Invitational

BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. - Xavier men's golf placed ninth at the Mountaineer Invitational on Tuesday. The two-day tournament was held at the Pete Dye Golf Club.

The Musketeers posted a 54-hole score of 926 (+62) in a field of 13 teams. Oklahoma State won the team title with a score of 875 (+11).

Oklahoma State's Jonas Baumgartner took home medalist honors with a 54-hole score of 216 (E), finishing two strokes ahead of teammate Bo Jin and James Madison's Daniel Cheng who recorded scores of 218 (+2). The field consisted of 80 golfers.

Carson Bellish was Xavier's top performer for the fifth straight tournament with a score of 224 (+8), placing tied for 15th.
