Nolan Wins Steeplechase, Sievern Sets Another School Record at Virginia Challenge

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Xavier track and field wrapped up action at the Virginia Challenge on Friday night. The meet was held at Lannigan Field in Charlottesville, Va.

Trevor Nolan won the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a personal-best time of 9:07.15. He now has eight top-10 finishes during his outdoor track and field career with two, first-place finishes (also won the steeplechase at the Jim Vargo Invitational on April 9, 2022).

Claire Sievern set the school record in the 1,500-meter run for the second time in as many meets. She posted a time of 4:25.70 in the invite section of the 1,500-meter run.

Sievern has now set three school records this season. The Evansville, Ind., native also holds Xavier's indoor track record for the one-mile run (4:49.43) and the outdoor track record in the 800-meter run (2:08.60).
