Nolan, Sievern Set School Records at Drake Relays

DES MOINES, Iowa - Xavier track and field set two school records on Thursday night at the Drake Relays. The three-day meet is being held at Drake Stadium.

Trevor Nolan placed 15th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase in a school-record time of 8:58.57. The previous record was set by Thomas Ohlman (9:00.57 - 2015).

Claire Sievern set the school record in the 1,500-meter run for the third time in as many meets. She posted a time of 4:24.46, placing sixth in the race.

Sievern has now set three school records this season. The Evansville, Ind., native also holds Xavier's indoor track record for the one-mile run (4:49.43) and the outdoor track record in the 800-meter run (2:08.60).

Jamie Klavon also placed fifth in the unseeded section of the 5,000-meter run (17:18.16), the highest finish by a freshman in the race.
