LAST TIME OUT

• Xavier competed at the Rick Erdmann Twilight on April 22-23. The two-day meet was hosted by Eastern Kentucky at Tom Samuels Track.

• Xavier recorded 32 top-20 performances with 17 of those marks being personal-best times.

• On the men's side, Will Garey (4th - 5,000-meter run), Zach Avenel (4th - 1,500-meter run), Liam Willman (5th - 110-meter hurdles) and Sean Beam (5th - 400-meter dash) all posted top-five finishes.

• On the women's side, Amanda MacKinnon posted the team's top individual finish. She placed seventh in the 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:09.08.

COACH BURROUGHS

• Sam Burroughs was named the new head coach for cross country/track and field on Jan. 4, 2021. He joined the Musketeers after previously working as associate head coach at Cincinnati from 2013-20.

• Burroughs has over 20 years of collegiate experience. He has coached 96 individual conference champions and 46 individual NCAA qualifiers, while leading 18 teams to conference championship titles.
