Musketeers and Pirates wrap up series on Sunday, set for 10 AM start at Hayden Field
CINCINNATI - The Musketeers fell in game two with Seton Hall, 3-2, at Hayden Field on Saturday afternoon, moving Xavier to 26-17 overall and 7-4 in BIG EAST play. The Pirates secure the series win with one game remaining.
Seton Hall took the 2-0 lead in the second inning on a solo home run and a sac fly follow a triple. Xavier immediately evened the score in the next half inning, with Tyler DeMartino getting aboard on a hit by pitch and Carter Hendrickson hitting a two-run home run to set the score at 2-2, which held into the eighth inning.
The Pirates got a run across in the top of the eighth to take the 3-2 lead. Xavier got runners aboard in each of the final two innings but were unable to score the tying run.
The series wraps up on Sunday, set for a 10 AM start at Hayden Field.

- Jonathan Kelly entered with two on and no outs in the seventh, getting out of the inning without allowing a run. Kelly finished out the game, going 3.0 innings, allowing one run on one hit with three strikeouts and no walks allowed.
