The Basketball Tournament (TBT) Releases Field and Matchups for 2023 Xavier Regional

CINCINNATI - The Basketball Tournament (TBT) – the $1 million, winner-take-all summer basketball event broadcast live on ESPN networks – today announced the bracket for this year's tournament.
Zip 'Em Up, the Xavier alumni team, will serve as the featured team for one of TBT's eight regionals, and compete against seven other teams for the chance to advance closer to TBT's $1 million prize. The games, which will take place July 21-24, will be played at Cintas Center on the campus of Xavier University.
Zip 'Em Up, the number two seed in the Xavier Regional, is organized by former Xavier assistant coach Rick Carter and former Xavier point guard Dee Davis. Carter will also coach the team for the third straight summer. Zip 'Em Up's roster currently includes:
The Xavier Regional winner will travel to Dayton to take on the Dayton Regional winner in TBT's quarterfinals game Monday, July 31 at 7 pm ET. The winner of that game will advance to TBT's semifinals in Philadelphia on Wednesday, August 2, and the $1M winner-take-all championship game will also be in Philadelphia on Thursday, August 3.

- #1 seed The Program for Autism: Previously known as Autism's Army, TBT 2022's runner-ups return this summer looking to finish the job.
- #3 seed The Money Team: Aligned with the brand of famous boxer Floyd Mayweather, the roster includes former NBA player Trevor Booker, and Cincinnati native Jordon Crawford.
- #4 seed Bucketneers (ETSU alumni): Representing East Tennessee State University, the Bucketneers have proven themselves to be one of TBT's most dangerous teams in recent years.
- #5 seed Fort Wayne Champs: Hailing from Fort Wayne, Indiana, the Champs knocked off Nasty Nati in the first round of last year's Xavier Regional.
- #6 seed Nasty Nati (Cincinnati alumni): Returning for its second summer in TBT, the Nasty Nati roster includes fan-favorite Bearcats like Jacob Evans, Jarron Cumberland, Troy Caupain, among others.
- #7 seed Georgia Kingz: Georgia Kingz secured their place in the Xavier Regional via buy-in.
- #8 seed Team DRC: Named after former NFL cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (who will also play for the team), Team DRC also secured their place via buy-in.
