Volleyball Drops Three Set Match to Colorado

The Musketeers pick up the first loss of the 2023 season
BOULDER, Colo. - Xavier volleyball fell to Colorado 0-3 (16-25, 20-25, 10-25) on Friday night.
The Musketeers move to 3-1 (0-0 BIG EAST) while the Buffaloes improve to 4-1 (0-0 Pac-12).
• Redshirt sophomore Emma Grace recorded the team-high in kills with seven.
• Freshman outside hitter Caroline Speelman, graduate setter Carrigan O'Reilly, and redshirt sophomore Anna Taylor each tallied five kills against the Buffaloes.
• O'Reilly posted her third double-double of the season with her 16 assists and 10 digs - the team-highs in both categories.
• Senior middle blocker Delaney Hogan combined with O'Reilly for three block assists in the three set match.
• Senior libero Stevie Wolf and junior defensive specialist Lucia Corsaro each followed O'Reilly with five digs apiece.
• The Musketeers totaled 28 kills, 28 assists, 24 digs, and three total blocks.
Xavier will face first time opponent Northern Colorado in day two of the Colorado Classic at 5 p.m. ET / 3 p.m. MT on Sept. 2.
