Hogan and Taylor set new career highs for hitting percentage against the Knights

CINCINNATI - Xavier volleyball closed out the 2023 Xavier Tournament with a straight sets (25-16, 25-20, 25-15) win over Bellarmine.

Xavier moves to 5-4 (0-0 BIG EAST) on the season and Bellarmine falls to 2-7 (0-0 ASUN).

NOTABLES

• Delaney Hogan led the Musketeers with her career high .867 hitting percentage from 13 kills off 15 attempts with no errors. The senior middle blocker also recorded two service aces and two block assists.

• Redshirt sophomore outside hitter Anna Taylor also had a career high .667 hitting percentage with 10 kills on 15 attempts with no errors.

• Carrigan O'Reilly, the graduate setter, recorded 35 assists, two digs, two kills and one block assist, while raising her career total for assists to 3,669.

• Senior libero Stevie Wolf posted the team-high in digs with 20 and was followed by junior defensive specialist Lucia Corsaro with her 13.

• Corsaro recorded her 13 digs and had 18 perfect receptions with two assists, one service ace, and one kill.

• Caroline Speelman, the sophomore outside hitter, posted one block solo and two block assists, the match highs. Speelman also tallied eight kills for the Musketeers.

• Freshman outside hitter Quinci Thomas recorded her first career block solo against the Knights and added six kills to the team's 45.

• Freshman defensive specialist Elouise Czajkowski earned her first career start as a Musketeer and tallied her first career service ace.

• Hogan collected the match-high in service aces with her two while Corsaro, Wolf, and junior setter Logan Flaugh each tallied one.

• The Musketeers totaled 45 kills, 42 assists, 48 digs, six block assists, two block solos, a team hitting percentage of .402, and five service aces in the sweep.
