Trio of Musketeers Earn BIG EAST Weekly Awards

NEW YORK - Xavier volleyball's Logan Flaugh, Emma Grace and Margo Kemp earned BIG EAST weekly awards after leading the Musketeers to a 2-0 weekend over UConn and Providence.
Flaugh was named Setter of the Week for the first time in her career after leading the BIG EAST with 11.63 assists per set last week. She notched a career-high 56 assists against the Huskies on Friday night to go along with 12 digs and two kills for her 13th career double-double.
She followed up with 37 assists, 10 digs and four kills in the sweep of Providence on Sunday afternoon. The senior also tallied her 500th career dig in the match while leading the Musketeers to a season-best .386 hitting percentage.
Flaugh's 56 assists against UConn are the most by any league player in a single match and she continues to rank second in the conference with 10.92 assists per set.
Grace was the first player besides a libero or middle blocker to be named Defensive Player of the Week this season. The redshirt junior led the league with 5.25 digs per set last week while also tallying 3.50 kills per set.
She recorded a career-high 30 digs against UConn to go along with 16 kills and two aces. The outside hitter then tallied 12 kills and 12 digs on a season-high .476 clip against Providence.
Grace had a perfect weekend in serve receive with no errors on 23 total attempts. She ranks sixth in the BIG EAST with 3.58 digs per set as the highest-ranking outside hitter.
Kemp picks up her third Freshman of the Week honor after ranking second in the BIG EAST with a .472 clip while averaging 2.50 kills per set and 0.63 blocks per set.
Against UConn, she tallied 13 kills and four blocks while hitting .478 and continued her dominant weekend with seven kills on a .462 in the sweep of Providence.
The redshirt freshman is the highest ranking rookie with a .409 hitting percentage in conference matches.
The Musketeers return to action this weekend, hosting Georgetown and Seton Hall inside Cintas Center. First serve against the Hoyas is set for Friday at 6:00 p.m. and the Pirates are up next on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
