CINCINNATI - Xavier cross country continues its season at the 2024 BIG EAST Cross Country Championships presented by JEEP on Friday, Nov. 1. The meet is being co-hosted by Georgetown University and Trials of Miles at Morven Park in Leesburg, Va.

LAST TIME OUT

Xavier competed at the Bradley Pink Classic on Friday, Oct. 18. The meet was held at Newman Golf Course in Peoria, Ill.
Trevor Nolan broke the 8K school record with a time of 24:17.25 in the Men's Red 8K Race, finishing 19th in the race. The previous record was set by Tom Ohlman in 2012 at the Pre-Nationals Meet in Louisville, Ky., with a time of 24:28.10.
The Xavier women placed 16th in the Women's Red 6K Race (out of 32 teams). The Xavier men placed third in the White 8K Race (out of 18 teams) and placed 13th in the Red 8K Race (out of 29 teams).
Nadia Perez paced the women's team in the White 6K Race, placing seventh in a time of 22:07.34. Grace Zdankiewicz placed 60th in the Red 6K race in a time of 21:29.84 to lead the Musketeers.
Aiden Amshoff placed 11th in the Men's White 8K race with a time of 25:28.98 to pace the squad.

NOTABLES

The women's team returns three runners from last year's BIG EAST Championship roster: Jamie Klavon, Grace McKay and Grace Zdankiewicz. Xavier finished seventh in the team standings.
The men's team returns three runners from last year's BIG EAST Championship roster: Drew Allen, Will Garey and Trevor Nolan. Xavier finished seventh in the team standings.
Nolan highlighted the championship meet as he placed 20th in the Men's 8K Race in a time of 26:00.04. He earned All-BIG EAST Second Team honors, becoming the first Xavier men's runner to earn all-conference honors since Tom Ohlman picked up the recognition in 2012. The 20th-place finish is also the highest finish for a Xavier men's runner since 2012 (Tom Ohlman placed 4th at the A-10 Championships).
The two teams combined to post six top-10 marks in the school record book, including one new program record (Trevor Nolan - 10K - 31:05.00 - NCAA Great Lakes Regional).
