Xavier looks to climb the BIG EAST ranks after a 2-2 start.

CINCINNATI - The Xavier volleyball team begins a four-game road stint on the East Coast this weekend. The Musketeers are coming off of a 1-1 weekend at home with a sweep of St. John's and a loss to Villanova in straight sets.

Xavier will face Seton Hall and Georgetown this weekend, both of which went 1-1 on the road last week.

about the musketeers

Xavier currently sits at seventh in the BIG EAST standings with a 2-2 record and was picked to finish sixth in the preseason poll.
Last Friday, the Musketeers swept St. John's who was picked to finish third in the BIG EAST after a conference title match appearance last season.
Logan Flaugh ranks second in the BIG EAST and 28th in the nation with 10.31 assists per set and an average of 10.92 in conference matches. Her 49 assists in the sweep of Kent State is the most by any league player in a 3-set match this year.
Margo Kemp's team-leading .370 hitting percentage is the fourth-best in the conference. She hit a career-high 13 kills against Kent State with only one error on a .667 clip, the highest single-game hitting percentage by a BIG EAST player this season. Kemp earned BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors on Sept. 30, the first Musketeer to do so since Delaney Hogan on Mar. 23, 2021.
Emma Grace tallied a season-high 18 kills in the sweep of St. John's while hitting .417. She added 12 digs to record her 17th career double-double and earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll (Oct. 7). She ranks sixth among BIG EAST players in conference matches with 3.62 k/s and leads the league with 0.62 aces per set.
Sarah Stevens earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll (Sept. 30) after notching eight kills and four blocks in consecutive matches, hitting .538 at DePaul and .700 in the sweep of Butler.

Seton Hall was picked to finish seventh in the BIG EAST standings after just missing last year's conference tournament in the same position.
The Pirates enter the weekend with a 7-8 record and are 1-3 in BIG EAST play with their lone win coming from a five-set battle against Providence.
The Musketeers are 16-4 all-time against Seton Hall, winning the last four straight.
Rylee Nelson leads the league with an average of 4.62 digs per set that ranks 39th nationally.
Madison Klungel leads all league players in conference matches with a total of 158 assists.
The Pirates rank second in the league with 1.75 aces per set with Asli Subasili averaging 0.49 per set.
Seton Hall recorded 94 digs in a four-set win over LIU, the second-most tally by a BIG EAST team this season.

Georgetown finished ninth in BIG EAST standings last season and was picked to finish 10th ahead of the 2024 season.
The Hoyas are currently 8-8 with a 1-3 conference record, picking up a 3-1 win over Providence on the road last weekend.
Georgetown will host DePaul on Friday night before welcoming the Musketeers on Saturday evening.
Xavier holds a 20-2 all-time record over the Hoyas, winning the last eight straight.
Outside hitter Dionna Mitchell has been named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week twice this season as she leads the team and ranks sixth in the conference with 3.59 kills per set.
Georgetown ranks second in the conference with 2.32 blocks per set with middle blocker Vaughan Anoa'i contributing 1.12 per set that ranks third in the league.
The Hoyas combined for 69 kills in a win over George Washington, the second-highest mark by any league team.
