Ernest Mensah Jr. Earns All-BIG EAST Honors

The defender was named to the all-conference third team
NEW YORK -Â Ernest Mensah Jr. was named to the All-BIG EAST Third Team on Tuesday. The all-conference teams and major award winners were selected by league head coaches.
The junior defender played and started in 16 matches. He scored one goal on the year, coming on Aug. 25 in a 4-1 win vs Cal State Fullerton. Mensah Jr. finished the year with 11 shots (two on goal).
The Naperville, Ill., native, helped the defense post a 1.12 goals against average with seven shutouts. Xavier finished the season ranked fifth in the BIG EAST in shutouts and seventh in goals against average.
