CINCINNATI - Xavier women's basketball moved to 3-1 on the year following a 45-41 win over Arkansas State (2-2) on Tuesday night at Cintas Center.
Xavier returns to action at Kent State on Saturday, Nov. 23. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m. from the M.A.C. Center.

NOTABLE
- Arkansas State entered the game averaging 88.7 points per game, ranking 17th in the NCAA. The Red Wolves also ranked first in the NCAA in three pointers made per game (14.0). The Musketeers held Arkansas State to a season-low 41 points behind a season-low .250 field-goal percentage (14-for-56). The Red Wolves were also held to a season-low six 3-pointers (6-for-29).
- Xavier held an opponent to a .250 field-goal percentage or lower for the first time since Dec. 15, 2023 vs SIUE (.192; 10-for-52). The Musketeers held an opponent to 41 or fewer points for the first time since Dec. 9, 2022 vs Cincinnati (35 points).
- Xavier never trailed in the game and led by as many as 11 points (23-12) with 28 seconds left in the first half. Arkansas State scored 11 straight points to open the second half, tying the game at 23-23. The Musketeers outscored the Red Wolves, 8-4, in the final five minutes of the third quarter take a four-point lead (31-27).
- Xavier never relinquished the lead and led by as many as seven points (39-32) with 4:46 left in regulation. Arkansas State closed within one point (42-41) with 19 seconds left in the game, but the Musketeers went 3-for-4 from the foul line down the stretch to seal the victory.
- Loren Christie scored a team-high eight points and grabbed a game-high seven rebounds. The forward added a game-high three blocks to go along with two steals.
- Daniela López added seven points, two rebounds and two steals in 19 minutes of action off the bench.
- Júlia Garcia Roig scored five points in 25 minutes of action off the bench. She was 5-for-6 from the foul line. The guard chipped in four rebounds, two blocks and two steals.
- Tae'lor Purvis scored six points and dished out a game-high five assists. She added three steals and four rebounds.
- Petra Oborilova added six points, three rebounds and one steal. Aizhanique Mayo finished with six points, two assists and one rebound in 18 minutes of action off the bench.
- Xavier finished the game with a .340 field-goal percentage (16-for-47) and went 5-for-15 from behind the arc. The Musketeers were also 8-for-19 from the foul line.
- Xavier had 11 steals in the game. The Musketeers have posted 10 or more steals in all four games this season.
- Both teams pulled down 39 rebounds. Arkansas State held a 24-11 advantage in points off of turnovers and scored five more fastbreak points (8-3). Arkansas State also scored one more second-chance point (8-7).
- Xavier held a 18-16 advantage in points in the paint and scored two more bench points (20-18). The two teams combined for 49 turnovers.
