Olivari set new career high, scores most points by a Musketeer since 2017 in 93-68 win
CHICAGO - Quincy Olivari set a new career-best mark to lead Xavier men's basketball to a 93-68 win at DePaul on Saturday night. Olivari finished with 43 points, the most by a Musketeer since 2017, leading three Musketeers in double figures.
Xavier moved to 12-10 overall and 6-5 in BIG EAST play with the win.
Xavier jumped out to a 6-0 lead and never trailed in the first half, outscoring the Blue Demons 14-3 in the first four minutes. Xavier led by as many as 17, 25-8, before DePaul used a 10-0 run to pull back within seven with 10 minutes. Xavier built the lead back out to as many as 14 before the half, taking a 47-33 advantage into halftime. Quincy Olivari led all scorers with 18 points and Desmond Claude added 13 before the half.
DePaul would get as close as 12 in the opening minutes of the second half, before Xavier stretched the lead out to 24 with 12 minutes to play after outscoring the Blue Demons 15-4 over a three minute stretch. DePaul used an 11-2 run to cut the lead back to 14 before the Musketeers re-extended the lead back out to 25, setting the final score at 93-68. Olivari had 25 points in the second half, shooting 7-of-12 from the field.

- Quincy Olivari set a new career-high scoring 43 points, topping his previous career high of 35, set at Rice. He connected on seven three pointers and went 12-of-12 from the free throw line. Olivari also grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds, his season high, for a double-double and finished with three assists, three steals and zero turnovers.
- Olivari's 43 points are the most by a player in the BIG EAST this season and the most by a Musketeer since Trevon Bluiett scored 40 at Cincinnati on Jan. 26, 2017.
- Desmond Claude added 15 points and grabbed five rebounds.
- Dayvion McKnight finished with 11 points, going 5-of-5 on 2-point field goals. McKnight led the Musketeers with seven assists.
- Xavier forced19 turnovers, outscoring the Blue Demons 22-9 on points off miscues.
- The Musketeers had a 37-30 advantage on rebounds.
