Men's Basketball Hosts No. 8 Marquette On Saturday For Senior Day

Musketeers are shooting to even their BIG EAST record at 10-10.
CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 15-15 overall and 9-10 in the BIG EAST Conference, close out the regular season on Saturday at 5 p.m. at Cintas Center against the Marquette University Golden Eagles, 22-8 overall and 13-6 in the BIG EAST. The Golden Eagles are ranked No. 8 in the AP Poll and No. 9 in the USA Today Coaches Poll.
Xavier will celebrate seven seniors in pregame "Senior Day" festivities that are set to start at 4:40 p.m. Xavier will honor student-athletes Brad Colbert (Loveland, Oho) and Quincy Olivari (Atlanta, Ga.) as well as managers Isaac Fiely (Meadville, Pa.), Bobby Gerity (West Hartford, Conn.), Max Meyer (Cincinnati), Michael Witt (Cincinnati) and Paxton Wong (Boston, Mass.).

• Xavier sophomore Desmond Claude, who scored a career-high 36 points in the win at Georgetown on March 2 (second-highest total by a BIG EAST player this season), is second on the team in scoring at 16.1 ppg. (10th in the BIG EAST) and assists at 3.2 apg. (15th in the BIG EAST).
• Xavier graduate student Quincy Olivari, who is second in the BIG EAST in scoring at 19.1 ppg., passed the 2,000-point mark for his collegiate career during his 32-point game vs. DePaul on Feb. 28. He has 2,059 points including his totals at Rice and Xavier.
• Xavier's Quincy Olivari is second in the BIG EAST and is 21st in the nation in 3-point field goals at 3.1 made per game and is second in the BIG EAST and 14th in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage at .426.
• Xavier senior Dayvion McKnight is first in the BIG EAST and 18th in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 3.17. He leads the team and is sixth in the BIG EAST in assists at 4.9 apg. and leads the team and is eighth in the league in steals at 1.5 spg. McKnight, who has averaged 15.5 ppg. for the last 14 games, is third on the team in scoring at 12.3 ppg.
• Xavier senior Abou Ousmane is fourth in the BIG EAST in offensive rebounding (2.9 rpg.) and is seventh in blocks (1.2 bpg.).
