Musketeers finish the season at 4-18 overall

CAYCE, S.C. - Xavier men's tennis wrapped up the 2024 dual season on Friday afternoon, falling 4-0 to No. 3 seed Georgetown in the BIG EAST Quarterfinals.

The Musketeers finish the season at 4-18.

The Match

In doubles play, the Hoyas took a 6-2 win on the No. 2 court against Kyle Totorica and Jorge Santamaria, then clinched the point with a 6-3 win against Cristian Gonzalez and Charlie Temming on court No. 3.

Georgetown picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win over Pascal Mosberger on the No. 2 singles court to move ahead 2-0 before the match went into a lengthy weather delay.

After the match resumed around 3:00 p.m., the Hoyas stretched the lead to 3-0 with a 7-5, 6-3 win on the No. 4 court against Charlie Temming.

A 7-5, 7-5 win for Georgetown on the No. 1 court against Ryan Cahill clinched the match at 4-0 for the Hoyas.
