OKATIE, S.C. - Xavier women's golf ranks first in the team standings after one round of action at the BIG EAST Championships. The three-day tournament is being played at Callawassie Island Golf Club.
The Musketeers posted an 18-hole score of 292 (+4) on Saturday. Georgetown ranks second (297, +9), while Butler ranks third (299, +11).
Individually, Emma Welch ranks tied for third with a score of 71 (-1) to pace the Musketeers. Georgetown's Megan Gormley and Seton Hall's Ginevra Zavagli rank tied for first with scores of 70 (-2).
