CINCINNATI - The Xavier volleyball team lost their home opener on Thursday night to crosstown rival Cincinnati, 3-1 (25-19, 14-25, 21-25, 21-25). Xavier took advantage of 7-0 and 6-0 runs to take the first set.

The Musketeers fall to 1-6 (0-0 BIG EAST) while the Bearcats improve to 5-2 (0-0 BIG 12).

Notables

Emma Grace recorded her 15th career double-double with 13 kills and 16 digs.
Sarah Stevens matched her career-high six blocks alongside six kills to lead the team with a .278 clip.
Lucia Corsaro also tallied 16 digs to help lead the Musketeers' back court.
Logan Flaugh recorded her sixth career double-double with 39 assists and 10 digs.
Anna Taylor put up 11 kills for her fourth straight double digit tally.
Margo Kemp finished with 10 kills, her second best output this season.
Elouise Czajkowski and Kelsey Niesen each contributed 10 digs.
The Musketeers aced the Bearcats five times.
