WAYNESVILLE, N.C. - The Xavier men's golf team finished 5th at the JT Poston Invitational with a total score of +13 over three rounds (282-275-296). Despite a challenging final day in some adverse weather, the team showed consistency and promise throughout the tournament.
The Musketeers displayed moments of brilliance, particularly through the strong performances of Bellish and Dean. With room to grow, they'll look to build on this experience in their next tournament at Nebraska.

NOTABLES
- Carson Bellish led the Xavier squad, finishing tied for 9th with an even-par score (210) after rounds of 71, 65, and 74. His standout second round of 65 was one of the highlights of the tournament.
- Freshman Kellen Dean also had a strong performance, ending tied for 14th at +1 (211) with rounds of 70, 68, and 73. His consistent play helped maintain Xavier's position near the top of the leaderboard.
- Zach Burton faced a bit of struggle on the last day, posting a final round of 74, but still managed to finish tied for 38th at +8 (218) after rounds of 73 and 71 in the first two days.
- AJ Wilhelm joined Burton at +8 (218), matching his scores with rounds of 69, 71, and 78.
- Mason Witt and Kyle Smith rounded out Xavier's lineup, both finishing at +11 (221) and +13 (223), respectively. Witt's best round came on day one with a 72, while Smith improved on day two with a solid 74.
