Baseball Announces Fall Signing Class

Six Musketeers set to join Billy O'Conner's program for Spring 2027 season
CINCINNATI -Â Siemers Family Baseball Head Coach Billy O'Conner announced the Fall 2025 signing class this week. Six Musketeers are set to join the program in Fall 2026, ahead of the 2027 season.
Luke Hanahan is an outfielder and right-handed pitcher from Overland Park, Kansas, where he attends Blue Valley Southwest High School.
Hanahan is a four-year member of Tyler Kincaid's varsity squad at Blue Valley Southwest. He's earned post-season honors from the Eastern Kansas League in each of his three complete seasons, including earning First Team honors from the league, as well as Second Team All-State Honors, following his junior season after helping the team to a third-place finish at the state tournament. Hanahan holds the single season and career home-run record at Blue Valley Southwest, as well as the single season record for triples.
Hanahan plans to major in Business at Xavier. He's the son of John Hanahan and Janice Hanahan, and has two siblings, Jack and Megan.

Carter Jeffries is a catcher from Lee's Summit, Missouri, where he attends Summit Christian Academy.
Jeffries is a four-year member of John Gage's varsity program at Summit Christian, playing infield and catcher, helping the team to a district championship in all three seasons he's played in. He's earned all-conference honors in the Crossroads Conference, as well as all-district in each of his three seasons so far and was named All-State as a sophomore. He also spent two seasons on the varsity basketball team, earning all-conference and all district both years.
Jeffries plans on majoring in Sports Management at Xavier. He's the son of Chris Jeffries and Melissa Jeffries.

Alex King is a right-handed pitcher from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, where he plays for Mountain Vista High School.
King has been a member of Ron Quintanna's varsity program for three years headed into his senior season. He's coming off a junior season where he posted a 1.167 ERA through 24.0 innings pitched, collecting 36 strikeouts. He earned 2025 All State Honorable mention and 5A Continental League First Team honors following the season.
King plans on majoring in Business at Xavier. He's the son of Adam and Amy King and has one sibling, Michael. His mother played collegiate basketball at Mount Marty University and Colorado Christian University.

Peter Lopez is an outfielder from Miami, Fla., where he attends Belen Jesuit Preparatory School.
Lopez is a four-year varsity starter for head coach Jesus Fernandez at Belen Jesuit. He's helped his team to District Runners-Up finishes in each of his three seasons so far, and a regional runner-up finish in 2025. In 2023 and 2024, his squad was the FHSAAÂ Academic Team Champions.
Lopez plans on majoring in Finance at Xavier. He's the son of Peter and Monica Lopez and has one sibling, Andrea.

Caleb Mecurio is a right-handed pitcher from Reminderville, Ohio, where he attends Walsh Jesuit High School.
Mecurio is a three-year member of Joe Bowers' varsity team at Walsh Jesuit. He's coming off a junior season where he helped the Warriors to a State Final Four. He also has experience playing club baseball with Release Baseball.
Mecurio plans on majoring in Accounting at Xavier. He's the son of Kimberly and Matthew Mecurio and has one sibling, Parker.

Whit Thomas is an infielder from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, where he attends Heritage Hall High School.
At Heritage Hall, he is a four-year member of Mickey Tettleton's varsity program. Through the first three seasons of his prep career, he has average .368 at the plate with 24 stolen bases. Thomas, a team captain, has earned a spot on the 4A All-Conference First Team as a shortstop during his time at Heritage Hall.
Thomas plans to major in Communications at Xavier. He is the son of Paige and Shawn Thomas and has two siblings, Gray and Posey. His mother was a collegiate golfer at Oklahoma, and his brother Gray played baseball at TCU and OU.
