CINCINNATIÂ - Xavier closed its five-game homestand with a 74-53 win over Ohio on Thursday night at Cintas Center.
The Musketeers improved to 3-2 on the year, while the Bobcats dropped to 2-2.
Xavier returns to action on Monday, Nov. 24 at Akron. Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m. from James A. Rhodes Arena with the game being aired on ESPN+ and The Varsity Network.

NOTABLES
- The game had four lead changes and one tie in the first quarter. Ohio led by one point (10-9) with 3:08 on the clock, but the Musketeers went on an 8-4 run to end the frame. Xavier never relinquished the lead and led for 38:16 in the contest.
- Xavier had three Musketeers reach double figures in the same game for the first time this season: MacKenzie Givens (20), Mariyah Noel (19) and Meri Kanerva (11).
- MacKenzie Givens scored a game-high 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting in 32 minutes of action off the bench. The 20 points were also a career high for the sophomore guard/forward. She added five rebounds.
- Mariyah Noel posted her second double-double of the season, scoring 19 points and grabbing 11 rebounds (career high). The guard was 6-for-12 from the floor and 6-for-7 from the foul line. She was one of three Musketeers with five assists.
- Meri Kanerva scored 11 points and dished out five assists. The guard added two blocks. She has a team-high 20 career double-figure scoring games.
- Savannah White pulled down a game-high 12 rebounds to go along with seven points. The forward now has five career games with 10 or more rebounds. She added three blocks and three steals.
- Petra Oborilova finished with five points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block.
- Xavier posted a season-high .458 field-goal percentage (27-for-59). The Musketeers made 27 or more field goals in a game for the first time since Nov. 23, 2024 (27 field-goals made in an 89-69 road loss at Kent State).
- The Musketeers were also 10-for-12 from the foul line. Xavier has hit 79.7 percent (59-for-74)Â of its free throws this season.
- Xavier made a season-high 10 three pointers. The Musketeers knocked down 10 or more three pointers in a game four times last season.
- Xavier won the battle on the glass, 43-35. Ohio scored one more point off of turnovers (18-17) and scored six more second-chance points (13-7).
- Xavier held a 32-20 advantage in bench points and scored 12 more points in the paint (32-20). Ohio held a 12-4 advantage in fastbreak points.
- Xavier had two players with 11 or more rebounds in a game for the first time since Dec. 19, 2021 (W, 65-58 vs Southeast Missouri).
- Xavier scored 74 or more points in a home game for the first time since Nov. 22, 2022 (W, 84-68 vs McNeese State).
- Xavier had 20 assists, the first time the Musketeers have posted 20 or more assists in a game since Dec. 15, 2023 (23 assists in a 68-43 win vs SIUE).
- Ohio was limited to a .322 field-goal percentage (19-for-59) and went 8-for-37 from behind the arc. The Bobcats were also 7-for-15 from the foul line.
- Aliah McWhorter led the Bobcats in scoring with 15 points.
