
Men's Basketball Continues The Homestand With Butler On Tuesday Night

Xavier and Butler will play for the first time this season.
CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University Musketeers, 16-10 overall and 8-7 in the BIG EAST Conference, host the Butler University Bulldogs, 12-13 overall and 5-9 in the BIG EAST, on Tuesday night at 8 p.m. at Cintas Center. Xavier has won two-straight games, while Butler is riding a three-game win streak.
Butler is the only BIG EAST team that Xavier has not yet played this season. XU visits Butler on March 5.

• Xavier sophomore Dailyn Swain, who has scored in double figures in 11 of the last 14 games, has averaged 13.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game over the last eight games. Swain scored 17 points (one point shy of his career high) on 6-6 shooting to go with seven rebounds and a career-high eight assists vs. DePaul on Saturday.
• Xavier junior Ryan Conwell is second on the team and ninth in the BIG EAST in scoring at 15.5 ppg. Conwell ranks fourth in the BIG EAST at 2.7 3-point field goals made per game. His 71 3-pointers made rank fourth in the BIG EAST and 58th in the nation.
• Xavier graduate student Dante Maddox Jr. tied his collegiate highs for points (26) and 3-point field goals (six) in the win at Providence on Feb. 12, his third 20-point game of the season.
• Xavier graduate student Marcus Foster posted his first XU double-double with 17 points and an XU career-high 13 rebounds vs. Georgetown on Feb. 4. Foster, who is third on the team in rebounding (4.7 rpg.), has snagged a team-high tying 6.5 rpg. over the last eight games.
• Xavier graduate student Dayvion McKnight leads XU in assists at 4.4 apg. (eighth in the BIG EAST) and is fourth in the BIG EAST and 43rd in the nation in assist-to-turnover ratio at 2.56.
