Ryan Conwell Has Been Named To The BIG EAST Honor Roll For The Third Time

Conwell is one of four XU players that have earned the honor.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University junior Ryan Conwell has been named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll for the third time this season. Conwell averaged 18.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game in a pair of wins this past week. He tied for team-high scoring honors in the Butler win on Feb. 18 with 14 points and led XU with 22 points in the win at Seton Hall on Feb. 23.
Conwell also earned a spot on the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Nov. 18 and Jan. 20. Graduate student Zach Freemantle (two times) is one of the four Musketeers to earn a spot on the weekly honor roll this season, joining Conwell and graduate students Dayvion McKnight (once) and Dante Maddox Jr. (once). Freemantle is the only XU player to earn BIG EAST Player of the Week so far this season, an honor he won last week.
Conwell is second on the team and 10th in the BIG EAST in scoring at 15.7 ppg. Conwell is third in the BIG EAST in 3-point percentage at .391 and is fourth in 3-point field goals made at 2.8 per game.
Xavier, 18-10 overall and 10-7 overall, has won four-straight games. XU hosts Creighton, 19-8 overall and 12-4 in the BIG EAST, on Saturday at 4:30 p.m.
