Baseball Falls to No. 2 LSU

The Musketeers play again Wednesday at Southeastern Louisiana.
LSU took an early lead, scoring seven runs in the opening frame led by back-to-back home runs. The Tigers scored in all of the first four innings including another seven runs in the third frame. LSU recorded a season-high 18 hits against Xavier.
The Musketeers were scoreless until Jason Jelic hit an RBI double in the fourth to bring home Isaac Wachsmann. Luke Hammond also recorded a hit and scored on a wild pitch. Hammond doubled in the top of the seventh to bring home the final two runs for Xavier.

- Carter Hendrickson singled up the middle in the opening inning to record the Musketeers' first hit.
- Luke Hammond went 2-4 at the plate with a two-RBI double.
- Jake Lambdin and Jason Jelic each recorded a double as well.
