Baseball Matches Season High with 13 Hits in 10-3 Win in Game Two at Tulane

Musketeers and Green Wave even at a game apiece, set for game three at 1 PM ET on Sunday
The Musketeers got on the board with a four-run frame in the second, with Nolan Tucker getting on with two outs via a single, then coming home on Isaac Wachsmann's team-high fourth home run of the season. Luke Hammond continued the two-out rally with a single and Aedan Anderson reached on an error, advancing to third as Hammond scored. Jake Lambdin followed with a single to right to bring in Hammond and cap off the four-run inning.
Xavier added to its 4-0 advantage in the fourth, with Hammond getting on with a single, stealing second, moving to third on a single from Anderson, and coming home as Carter Hendrickson hit into a fielder's choice to make it a 5-0 lead.
Tulane picked up a run in the bottom of the frame, but the Musketeers got it back in the fifth, with Jason Jelic getting on with a hit-by-pitch and moving to third on a double from Clay Burdette. A sacrifice fly from Tucker brought in Jelic to make it a 6-1 lead.
Two more runs came across for the Green Wave to pull within three, 6-3, after six, but the Musketeers responded in the seventh with three runs on three hits. Burdette was hit by a pitch and Tucker hit a single to put two with two out on for Wachsmann, who doubled to bring in Burdette. A wild pitch brought Tucker home from third and moved Wachsmann to third, and a RBI single from  Hammond capped off the three-run frame, bringing in Wachsmann to make it a 9-3 lead.
Xavier added one more run in the ninth, with Tucker taking a lead-off walk, Hammond hitting a single, and Hayden Christiansen getting on a with a walk to load the bases. Lambdin singled to right to drive in Tucker, setting the final score at 10-3.
The series finale is set for Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. ET.

- Joseph Chavana faced four batters in the sixth, allowing two runs on a hit and a pair of walks.
- Jack Nobe entered with the bases loaded and no one out in the sixth. He pitched 3.1 scoreless innings, allowing just one hit and walking a pair, finishing with two strikeouts.
- Jack DeTienne entered with two on and one out in the ninth, picking up the final two outs with strikeouts.
- Xavier's staff limited the Green Wave to just four hits, matching Tulane's season low.
