Xavier, Texas Set for NCAA Tournament First Four Matchup

The two at-large teams will play at UD Arena on Wednesday, March 19
CINCINNATI - Xavier men's basketball was selected as an at-large participant in the 2025 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. The No. 11 seed Musketeers take on No. 11 seed Texas in the First Four in Dayton, Ohio at UD Arena on March 19. The game is being aired on truTV at 9:10 p.m. (approx). The first game of the doubleheader, Mount St. Mary's vs. American, starts at 6:40 p.m. and XU/Texas will follow that game 30 minutes later.
The winner will advance to the first round vs No. 6 seed Illinois on Friday, March 21 in Milwaukee.
Xavier and Texas have met three times previously in the NCAA Tournament with UT holding a 2-1 advantage. The Longhorns defeated the Musketeers in a 2023 Regional Semifinal.
XU has played two previous NCAA games at the University of Dayton Arena, 2014 and 1983.
