Xavier faces Texas in the First Four on March 19

DAYTON, Ohio - The Xavier men's basketball team arrived in Dayton on Tuesday afternoon to participate in a media session and open practice ahead of their NCAA Tournament First Four game at UD Arena.

The No. 11 seed Musketeers (21-11) will face No. 11 seed Texas (19-15) in the First Four on March 19. The winner will play No. 6 seed Illinois in the first round on March 21 in Milwaukee.

Tip-off is set for 9:10 p.m. and will be nationally aired on truTV with Spero Dedes, Jim Spanarkel and Jon Rothstein on the call.

Xavier is making its 30th appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Musketeers have the reached the NCAA Sweet 16 nine times, including seven times since 2008 and most recently in 2023.
