Abby Nugent and Clara Owen Pick Up BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week

Pair went 2-0 over the weekend in No. 1 doubles spot
NEW YORK - The No. 37 ranked doubles pair of Clara Owen and Abby Nugent were named the BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week, following a 2-0 weekend for the Musketeers.
In Xavier's 7-0 win at Dayton, the pair picked up the first decision, a 6-1 win on the No. 1 court, to help the Musketeers take the doubles point. In Xavier's 6-1 win over DePaul, the duo picked up a 6-2 win over the No. 54 pair of Eva Goncharov and Hannah Smith to clinch the doubles point.
This is the pair's second weekly award of the season, also earning Double Team of the Week honors for the week of Jan. 27.
The Musketeers take on a pair of BIG EAST opponents next weekend, hosting Seton Hall on Friday, April 4 and traveling to Butler on Sunday, April 6.
