Men's Basketball Extends Win Streak to Six with 91-78 Victory at Bulter

Zach Freemantle leads four Musketeers in double figures with 24 points
INDIANAPOLIS - Xavier men's basketball took a 91-78 win over the Bulter Bulldogs at Hinkle Fieldhouse on Wednesday evening, extend the Musketeers' winning streak to six games.
The Musketeers improve to 20-10 (12-7 BIG EAST) on the year, while the Bulldogs move to 13-17 (6-13 BIG EAST).
Xavier wraps up the regular season on Saturday, March 8, hosting Providence at Cintas Center for Senior Day. The Musketeers and the Friars get underway at 4:00 p.m. on FS1.

NOTABLE
- Xavier led by as many as 10 in the first half, using a 14-2 run midway through the first half to lead 28-18 with just over nine minutes to play. A 10-2 Butler run late got the Bulldogs as close as one in the final minutes before a Ryan Conwell three pointer just before the half set the score at 44-40. Conwell had 14 points to lead all scorers in the first half.
- Xavier opened up the second half on a 14-2 run, extending the lead out to double figures. The Musketeers led by as many as 17 in the second half and the Bulldogs would get no closer than 10 points on the way to the 91-78 win.
- Zach Freemantle finished with 24 points, on 12-of-17 shooting from the floor, and grabbed eight rebounds.
- Ryan Conwell connected on five threes, finishing with points. He also had a team-high matching four assists. Marcus Foster also had four assists.
- Dailyn Swain posted his third double-double of the season, finishing with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Swain also led the Musketeers with three steals.
- Dayvion McKnight added 13 points for the Musketeers.
- Jerome Hunter went 4-of-4 from the floor, finishing with nine points.
- Xavier finished with a 12-5 advantage on turnovers, which the Musketeers turned into a 22-8 advantage in points off turnovers.
- The Musketeers finished with a 32-28 advantage on the glass overall, and a 7-3 advantage on the offensive boards, leading Butler 9-0 on second-chance points.
