Zach Freemantle Earns A Spot On The BIG EAST Honor Roll

Freemantle earned five BIG EAST weekly awards this season.

CINCINNATI --- Xavier University graduate student Zach Freemantle earned his fifth BIG EAST weekly award of the season in the final weekly awards announcement on Sunday. Freemantle was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll after averaging 24.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.5 steals in a pair of Xavier wins this past week. He shot 69.7 percent (23-33) from the field combined in wins at Butler and vs. Providence.

Freemantle collected four BIG EAST Honor Roll Awards this season and one BIG EAST Player of the Week honor.

Xavier, 21-10 overall and 13-7 in the BIG EAST Conference, is the No. 4 seed and will take on No. 5 seed Marquette, 22-9 overall and 13-7 in the BIG EAST, in the Quarterfinals on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at Madison Square Garden. XU is riding a seven-game win streak.
