Xavier Holds Steady in Seventh After Two Rounds at True Blue

PAWLEYS ISLAND, S.C. - The Xavier men's golf team sits in seventh place at 10-under-par (566) through two rounds of the Golfweek/Stifel Spring Challenge at True Blue Golf Club. After opening with a strong 277 (-11) in round one, the Musketeers cooled off slightly in the second round, posting a 289 (+1) to drop a few spots on the leaderboard.

Jacksonville State leads the field at 19-under (557), with St. John's (-16) and Connecticut (-14) close behind.

INDIVIDUAL HIGHLIGHTS

Zach Burton leads the way for Xavier, currently tied for 8th place at 5-under (139) after rounds of 68-71. He remained steady in round two, carding a 1-under-par 71 to stay inside the top 10.
Carson Bellish is just one shot back at 4-under (140), tied for 14th place, following consecutive rounds of 70.
A.J. Wilhelm sits at 1-under (143), tied for 28th, after posting a second-round 73.
Ray Filter opened with an impressive 69 but struggled in round two with a 75, dropping him into a tie for 35th (144).
Kellen Dean rounds out the Xavier lineup at 152, after rounds of 75-77.
