Men's Basketball Signs FAU Standout Tre Carroll

Carroll earned 2024-25 Second Team All-Conference honors.
CINCINNATI --- Xavier University men's basketball head coach Richard Pitino announced today that he has received a signed athletic aid agreement from 6-7 forward Tre Carroll, who played the last three seasons at Florida Atlantic University. Carroll was named 2024-25 Second Team All-Conference, AAC Co-Most Improved Player of the Year and Amir Abdur-Rahim Sportsmanship Award winner this past season.
"Tre Carroll is a terrific addition to our basketball program to our basketball program," said Pitino. "He is tough, competitive and a winner. We know he will come into our locker room and make a difference right away on and off the court."
Carroll appeared in all 34 games, starting 14 times, in the 2024-25 season. Carroll was second on the team in scoring at 12.2 ppg. and blocks at 1.0 bpg., while ranking third in rebounding at 5.2 rpg.
Carroll scored in double figures in 23 games, including career-high 24 points to go with eight rebounds at Michigan State on Dec. 21, hitting 10-15 from the field and 2-3 from beyond the arc. He scored 20 points on 9-15 shooting to go with seven rebounds at Memphis on Feb. 23 and tallied 17 points in the NIT matchup with Dayton on March 19.
