Christian Gonzalez and Alex Kotarski Named BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week

NEW YORK - After going 2-0 in the No. 2 doubles spot, Christian Gonzalez and Alex Kotarski, were named the BIG EAST Doubles Team of the Week by the league office.
Gonzalez, a sophomore from Burleson, Texas, and Kotarski, a freshman from, Hinsmale, Ill., took a 6-1 win against Marquette on Friday, helping Xavier take the doubles point in the 5-2 win over the Golden Eagles on Senior Day.
The pair also combined for a 7-5 No. 2 doubles win in Xavier's match against No. 41 Arkansas on Saturday evening in the regular season finale.
Xavier heads to Cayce, S.C., for the BIG EAST Championships this weekend, set to get underway on Friday, April 18.
