The guard joins the Musketeers from Auburn University
CINCINNATI - Xavier head women's basketball coach Billi Chambers announced the signing of Audia Young to the 2025-26 roster.
Young joins the Musketeers after three seasons at Auburn. The 5-foot-9 guard played in 41 games over the last two years, averaging 3.6 points and 0.6 rebounds per game. She added a .379 field-goal percentage (53-for-140) and knocked down 24 three pointers to go along with 15 steals.
"We could not be more excited to add Audia to our roster!" said Chambers. "This young woman's potential is off the charts - She can score on all three levels and her commitment to defense is elite. Her athleticism, competitiveness and ability to make everyone around her better will immediately impact our program."
Young scored a career-high 19 points at No. 6 LSU on Jan. 5, 2025. She was 7-for-10 from the floor and 4-for-5 from behind the arc. All told, the Tigers won 48 games with Young on the roster and advanced to one NCAA Tournament.
The Tallahassee, Fla., native played at Florida State University HS - "Florida High", averaging 16.2 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.9 steals per game as a senior. She helped her to team to a 3A Florida State Tournament Semifinal Appearance in 2022.
Young's mother, Carolyn Jones-Young, was All-American at Auburn from 1988-91. Her father, Charlton, is currently the associate head men's basketball coach at the University of Miami.
